Gilded Youth is the Sassoon autumn/winter 2008 story, where the sharp geometry of a London salon meets the English country house. Mark Hayes and the Sassoon Creative Team build a small cap of hair on top and leave short or long lengths beneath it, a shape-on-shape effect that gives a red and copper bowl, a blonde helmet over long, poker-straight lengths and a soft, ruffled crop. Riding jackets, stocks and pheasant feathers complete the aristocratic mood. Colin Roy photographed the collection, with make-up by Daniel Kolaric.
